Privacy Policy

MiniFile is a bulk image compression tool that runs entirely inside your web browser. This page explains what happens to your data when you use it.
Your images
MiniFile never uploads your images to any server. Every compression and format conversion runs locally on your device using WebAssembly. Files you drop into MiniFile are processed in your browser's memory and never transmitted anywhere, including to us. When you close the tab, they're gone unless you've downloaded the result yourself.
What we don't collect
MiniFile does not require an account, does not ask for your name or email to use the tool, and does not run server-side image processing, so there is no server log of what you compressed.
Cookies and local storage
MiniFile is an installable Progressive Web App. If you install it or revisit it, your browser may cache the app's own files (HTML, JavaScript, WebAssembly modules) locally so it loads faster and can work offline. This is standard browser caching, not tracking, and none of it leaves your device.
If MiniFile displays advertising through Google AdSense, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads and measure their performance, including personalized ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can learn more and manage ad personalization at Google's Advertising Technologies page and opt out of personalized ads at Google Ad Settings.
Analytics
If we use a privacy-conscious analytics service to understand aggregate site usage (for example, how many visitors a page gets), it will not have access to the contents of any image you process, since that never leaves your browser.
Third parties
MiniFile's compression engines (MozJPEG, OxiPNG, and the WebP/AVIF encoders) run as WebAssembly modules bundled with the site itself, not loaded from a third-party server at runtime. The only third parties with any visibility into your visit are our hosting provider (which sees standard web server logs, like any website) and, if enabled, Google for advertising as described above.
Children's privacy
MiniFile is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
